Junior cycle |
The Junior Cycle comprises 1st, 2nd and 3rd Year and culminates in the State Junior Certificate Examination held in June at the end of 3rd Year. Newpark offers a broad curriculum at Junior Cycle. Transition year |
This 4th Year is compulsory in Newpark. TY students experience a broad range of activities aimed at developing their self esteem, creativity and initiative as well as their communication and personal development skills. They continue to study the core curriculum throughout the year.Learn More » |
Senior cycle |
The Senior Cycle comprises 5th and 6th Year. Three types of Leaving Certificate are offered to students: the established Leaving Certificate, the Leaving Cert Vocational Programme (LCVP) and the Leaving Cert Applied (LCA). European section |
This cooperative project, involving Newpark, the French Government and the Department of Education, is an intensive six-year study of French language and culture. It is aimed at students with a French family background or those who show a potential for language acquisition.Learn More » |
Sports |
Rugby, Hockey, Basketball, Athletics, Swimming, Soccer, Tennis and Cricket are all sports enjoyed by students in Newpark. Students at Newpark can join a variety of different Societies that are active in the school.
