Dear Parents / Guardians,

Following on our email / post on 23 January 2012, we are planning on having the first meeting of this group on next Tues 28 February @ 8pm in the School Library.

If you are interested in coming along, you would be most welcome.

To recap, the objective of the group is for parents to learn from each other and share suggestions regards experiences that any other parents will have had with Students in the above categories in Secondary School.

Our expectation is that there is a wealth of knowledge amongst the parents themselves, and it would be good to able to share this, particularly amongst parents of younger students in the school. Parents will be able to pick up tips from parents of older children, who are further advanced along the secondary school route.

These could be practical suggestions – perhaps such things as how to go about getting special accommodations for students in exams, what courses parents have found useful in improving social skills etc, etc. – Really it is whatever topics the parent group themselves think is relevant.
