Basketball

Basketball is increasing in popularity every year in Newpark. There are 1st Year, 2nd Year, U16 and U19 teams for both boys and girls. All teams participate in Leinster League and Cup competitions. Matches usually take place after school on different days.

Coaches and training times are as follows:

• U19 Boys Coach: Matt Kingsley-training is on a Monday and Wednesday
• U19 Girls Coach: Rachel Steel-training is on a Tuesday
• U16 Boys Coach: Matt Kingsley-training is on a Wednesday
• U16 Girls Coach: Siobhan Costello-training is on a Thursday
• 2nd Year Boys Coach: Matt Kingsley-training is on a Friday
• 2nd Year Girls Coach: Siobhan Costello-training is on a Thursday
• 1st Year boys and girls training is in the Sports Hall lunchtime on Tuesdays
