We are having our next meeting of the above group in the school library. To recap, the objectives of the group are for Parents / Guardians to find out more information from other Parents / Guardians of similar students as they went through Secondary School.

The French aural exam for 1st, 2nd and 5th years will take place in class on Tuesday 15th May.
Students should practice as much as they can this weekend and be prepared for next week.
It is important that they are on time as the exam lasts 40 minutes.
Reminder : answers must be given in English

The French oral exams will take place on Thursday 17th and Friday 18th May.
The examiner will be Ms Larras.
Students have 10 questions and 3 role plays to prepare.
They should be at the exam about 10 min before their allocated time.

Congratulations to Anna Richardson, Megan Rankin, Lorena Halpin-Doyle & Mollie O’Sullivan who have qualified for the Leinster U18 Hockey Trials.

There are three finals being held in Newpark on Wednesday from 1.30pm onwards:

1.30pm –                 Senior B Final
3pm –                        All Ireland Eliminator
4.30pm –                 Senior A Final

Congratulations to the Senior Boys Hockey Team Who Beat Dundalk Grammar School 4-3 in the Senior Shield Final Last Friday 1st April. This was a wonderful achievement for a young team and well done to the coaching staff of Stephen Cullen, Peter Murphy and Carl Breaden.

Newpark’s Minor Girls recorded an excellent win in the Minor A Leinster League Final on a wet and cold Three Rock Rovers Friday 11th March. Defeating rivals Mount Anville, the score line 2-1 provides an indication of the exciting but very determined display the Newpark girls put on for their supporters.

Congratulations to the Senior Boys Team who qualified for the All Ireland Schoolboy Tournament which will be played on 20th, 21st and 22nd October in Wesley College.

The Senior Boys Hockey Team defeated Columbas and Mt. Temple in the qualifiers and narrowly lost out to Kilkenny to finish runner up and take the 2nd qualifying spot.
