Board of Management
The Church of Ireland Archbishop of Dublin, The Most Reverend Michael Jackson, is Patron of Newpark Comprehensive School. Under his patronage, the Board of Management provides support, expertise and guidance to the Principal, and has ultimate responsibility for the organisation and development of the school. The Board is entirely voluntary.
The Board, Principal and Deputy Principal have an excellent working relationship and work closely together to ensure Newpark is efficiently run, properly staffed and resourced (within the budgets set by the Department of Education and Skills) and meets the educational and other needs of the pupils to the highest standard.
The Board of Management meets monthly during the school term and also holds one or two planning days per year for more in-depth review of issues affecting the school. Subcommittees on a variety of issues (e.g. Finance, Admissions policy) are also in place and meet regularly or as needed.
Anyone wishing to contact the Board may do so by writing to the Secretary of the Board of Management, c/o Newpark Comprehensive School. Parents or teachers may also wish to contact their representatives directly which can also be done via the school.
