Junior Cycle
All students in Newpark study for their Junior Certificate Examination which takes place at the end of 3rd Year. Core subjects which all students take (unless they have been granted an exemption by the Department of Education and Skills) include Irish, English, Mathematics, French or German, History, Geography, Science, Civic, Social and Political Education, Physical Education, Social, Personal and Health Education, Religious Education.
They also choose two subjects from eight options which are Materials Technology (Wood), Material Technology (Metal), Art, Music, Home Economics, Technical Graphics, Business and Technology.
