The Arts
A new Arts Policy for Newpark is currently being prepared within the school community. This policy is reviewing the current provision of arts related subjects in Newpark with a view to establishing a set of principles and practices that allow students to pursue a path of excellence in the arts while still maintaining a wide participation on the part of the greater student body.
Currently all Newpark students are given the opportunity to take part in Music, Art, Drama, Creative Writing and Dance in 1st Year and Transition Year. Arts modules, as well as the arts subjects, are available for the Junior and Leaving Certificate Examinations.
Newpark would like to establish a database of its Alumni who are involved in the wider arts community.
