While it was a bitterly disappointing result for the Senior Girls yesterday losing so narrowly to Loreto Beaufort, the team deserves huge congratulations on being finalists and on having such a great season. As a school, we are very proud of them. It’s great for Newpark to be competing at this level and there was also a great sense of the school community in Belfield yesterday.

Sincere thanks to all in the team for bringing Newpark back to where we belong! Thanks to Anna, Lorena, Simon and Niamh, all the parents/guardians and to all those involved with this team in the early years. Thanks also to Karen Clarke and Aedin McCarthy for the work they put into getting the supporters out and making Belfield look like our home ground! Finally, thank you and well done to all the fantastic supporters that packed out the stand to capacity.
