Capping a season that has steadily gathered momentum with the inevitability of a rolling maul, Newpark’s Junior Boys Rugby team delivered a final flourish on Tuesday, claiming the league title with a commanding 39–19 victory over a spirited Templeogue College side. Having already lifted the Duff Cup earlier in the campaign, this latest triumph was a testament to their teamwork and commitment throughout the season. Under the guidance of coaches Morgan Lennon, Kelvin Weymes, and Jacob Llywelyn, the team blended grit with guile, and on the day, simply refused to be denied.
